Manoj Bajpayee doesn’t want to live in Mumbai post retirement: I like mountains

Actor Manoj Bajpayee recently opened up about his retirement plans during a recent interview. The actor, who moved from Bihar to Maximum City Mumbai decades ago, said that although he loves Mumbai, he would not like to live here after quitting showbiz. 

MANOJ’S RETIREMENT PLANS

Speaking to Curly Tales, the actor said he doesn’t want to live in a mansion in Mumbai, but instead hopes to move to the mountains after retirement. 

When asked where does he want to live ultimately, he said, “Mountains, ek choti si jagah kahi pe li hai. Ek chota sa ghar banau. Koi mansion nahi. Main apna old age yaha nahi guzarna chahunga” (I want to move to the mountains. I have already taken a place somewhere. I want to make a small house somewhere, no mansion for me. I don’t want to spend my old age here). It (Mumbai) will be a city for my daughter, not me.”

Manoj Bajpayee has been giving a number of interviews lately, and during one such conversation, the actor spoke of his relationship with the late Irrfan. Bajpayee was asked if he ever felt jealous of Irrfan and the opportunities he had gotten. The actor told YouTuber Samdish Bhatia, “Jealousy agar honi hai toh ussey hogi jisko main janta hu. Irrfan ko main nahi janta tha (If I had to be jealous, I’d be envious of someone I know. I didn’t know Irrfan well). We were in different circles.”

On the work front, Manoj Bajpayee was last seen in the ZEE5 movie Sirf Ek Bandaa Kafi Hai. He has Despatch and Joram in the pipeline.
