The US President has promised to increase his country’s oil production.
US President Donald Trump says he is not concerned about the possible effects of new sanctions against Russia on global oil markets.
“No, I’m not worried about that. We have so much oil in our country. We will increase oil production,” Trump said, speaking to the press aboard Air Force One before departing Scotland.
Trump said oil is already “pretty cheap right now” and the U.S. should increase production even more.
The president noted that the deadline to resolve the war in Ukraine will expire in 10 days, beginning July 29. “It will obviously affect Russia, but he (Vladimir Putin. – Note) wants the war to continue. But we will impose duties. Maybe it will affect them, maybe it won’t,” Trump said.
