Takeoff’s mother suing venue where he died
Takeoff’s mother is suing the Houston venue where he was killed.
Seven months after Migos rapper Takeoff, 28, ( real name Kirsnick Khari Ball) was shot and killed outside 810 Billiards Bowling in November 2022 and his mother Titania Davenport has now filed a negligence lawsuit against the bowling alley.
Her lawsuit, filed at the Texas district court, claims that defendants were informed the event required extra security and it “provided no screening mechanisms, no after-hour controls or security measures, and no enforcement of rules or industry standards to deter crime against their invitees, to include [Takeoff]”.
According to Variety, the lawsuit adds: “Defendants knew or should have known that a significant number of violent crimes were committed at the subject premises and in the surrounding area, but negligently failed to protect invitees like [Takeoff] from the risks of violent crime.

Bryan Cranston planning career break in 2026
Bryan Cranston is planning to step away from acting in 2026.
The ‘Breaking Bad’ star is going to shut down his production company, sell his half of mezcal business Dos Hombres and step out of the spotlight to move overseas, likely to France, with his spouse Robin Dearden for at least six months in order to “level out” his marriage.
He explained to the Summer issue of British GQ magazine: “I want to change the paradigm once again.
“For the last 24 years, Robin has led her life holding onto my tail. She’s been the plus one, she’s been the wife of a celebrity. She’s had to pivot and adjust her life based on mine.
“She has tremendous benefit from it, but we’re uneven. I want to level that out. She deserves it.”

Jane Fonda taking break to focus on election
Jane Fonda is taking an 18-month acting break due to the 2024 presidential election.
The 85-year-old actress is known for her political activism and she plans to make that her focus for the foreseeable future, concentrating specifically on trying to get people who support taking action against climate change into office.
Jane made the admission during a 30-minute on-stage interview with Robin Roberts at the Tribeca Film Festival after being honoured with the Harry Belafonte Voices For Social Justice Award.
She said: “Let’s get rid of the Joe Manchin’s. We need to try to light a fire under Biden and look, we have to vote for him, ok? We have got to get really mad at him and we have to try to demand that he earn our votes. But I mean, let’s be real because the alternative is the end of everything.”
But the ‘Grace and Frankie’ star insisted she had never been interested in running for office herself.
She said: “One thing about getting old is that you start to get a little smart about what your strong suits are. And that’s not one of them. I’m a cheerleader.”
She jokingly added: “I don’t have any original ideas. I’m the one who takes your ideas and then I get credit for it.”
The Oscar-winning star insisted it is “up to us” to make changes to tackle the climate crisis because it will be “too late” for the next generation.
She said: “We are animals, let us not forget. We depend on the ocean and the forests for oxygen, for food. I mean, even dogs don’t s*** in their own kennel. And we’re in our kennel and taking a lot down with us in the process. We have to stop it. It’s all connected.
“Those of us who are alive right now in this decade, it’s up to us (to make a change) because when we go it’ll be too late. We’re the ones who can make the difference. Let’s not, when history is written, be the ones that were staying at home and rearranging the china.”
Lady Gaga seeks to dismiss dog theft reward lawsuit
Lady Gaga is refusing to pay a $500,000 reward for the return of her French bulldogs, insisting the woman was aware of them being stolen.
The ‘Bad Romance’ singer was sued in February by Jennifer McBride – who handed over the pop star’s dogs in February 2021, two days after they were taken from her dog walker – after she refused to hand over the “no questions” sum in exchange for the safe return of her pooches and the 37-year-old star has now filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, insisting the woman was part of a conspiracy to steal the animals.
Documents obtained by CBS News stated: “Plaintiff Jennifer McBride seeks to profit from her participation in a crime.
“The law does not allow a person to commit a crime and then profit from it.”
Attorneys for Gaga said McBride claimed to have been a good Samaritan who found the dogs on the street by change and had “no idea” they belonged to the ‘Star is Born’ actress, but they argued she was in fact a “direct and knowing participant in the criminal enterprise”.
In December, McBride was sentenced to two years probation after pleading no contest to knowingly receiving stolen property.
She has maintained she performed her obligation under the terms of the reward contract but Gaga had no intention of paying it, so she is suing for breach of contract, fraud by false promise and fraud by misrepresentation.
She is also seeking legal fees and compensation for financial damages, pain and suffering, mental anguish and loss of enjoyment of life but Gaga’s team argued she has not suffered any damages in returning the dogs.
A hearing on the motion to dismiss has been scheduled for 10 July.
Pink embarrassed her daughter by running around naked
Pink embarrassed her daughter by running around naked.
The 43-year-old pop superstar is married to former motorcycle racer Carey Hart, 47, and has Willow, 12, as well as six-year-old son Jameson with him and revealed that she decided to run round in her birthday suit to declare “freedom”, leaving her eldest mortified.
Speaking live on stage at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on Saturday (10.06.23), she told the crowd: “Actually, yesterday, me and the kids went running round naked outside because we forgot our clothes in the other room, and we didn’t have any clothes. And me and Jameson were like ‘Ahhh! This is awesome! Freedom!’ But I heard Willow go ‘Why does our family have to do stuff like this?’ We’d never done that!”
The ‘Don’t Let Me Get Me’ hitmaker arrived in Tyne and Wear as part of her Summer Carnival Tour and after entering the stage from up a height through a giant pair of lips, she opened her show with her 2001 hit ‘Get the Party Started’ before working her way through other classics such as ‘Who Knew’, ‘Just Like a Pill’ and ‘What About Us’.
The Grammy Award-winning star donned a series of summer-themed pink outfits during the high-energy show, which saw her perform acrobatics and experiment with various dances before slowing things down completely to perform a rendition of Bob Dylan classic ‘Make You Feel My Love’ whilst seated at a hot pink piano and was even joined by her daughter during ‘Cover Me In Sunshine’.
Things took a more poignant turn when Pink – whose real name is Alecia Moore – introduced the track ‘When I Get There’ from her latest album ‘Trustfall’, which she had written in memory of her father Jim – who died in 2021 at the age of 75 following a battle with cancer – and she urged the crowd to think about their loved ones.
She said: “This song is not funny. We’ve all lost people and I miss my dad so…call the people you love while you can.”
Pink soon lifted the tone once again as she worked her way through newer songs ‘Runaway’, ‘Trustfall’ and ‘Never Gonna Not Dance Again’ before wrapping things up with smash hit ‘So What’ whilst flying spectacularly around the 48,000 seater venue.
In the UK, Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour will also visit Villa Park in Birmingham on June 13 and BST Hyde Park in London on June 24 and 25.

Tara Reid was inspired to be an actress by Drew Barrymore in E.T.
Tara Reid was inspired to become an actress by Drew Barrymore in ‘E.T’.
The ‘American Pie’ star instantly knew she wanted to be a Hollywood star as a little girl when she watched child star Drew play Gertie in Steven Spielberg’s 1982 sci-fi classic about a lost alien who secretly lives with an American family after getting separated from his spaceship.
Tara can recall turning to her mother and telling her that she was going to become an actress.
She told Mr. Warbuton magazine: “I fell in love with the world I am in and the art I do. I remember when I watched E.T’ and saw Drew Barrymore, I’m like, ‘Mommy, I want to do that.'”
Tara admits that her career in the film industry came true after a “series of miracles”.
But the ‘Josie and the Pussycats’ star feels as though she has been unfairly treated by Hollywood because of her party girl image from her 20s.
Tara, 47, said: “I was the first one that started this image. The difference is I never did sex tapes. I never did anything wrong. I’ve never even gotten a speeding ticket. But what I did get punished for is if I wasn’t shooting, I went to Europe right away. I’d be popping bottles, and I had a great time!
“I was just on an attack. Anything I did was on tape, it was pretty awful. And that’s why I left. It wasn’t because I was just a girl. It was because I was an easy target.”
But ‘The Big Lebowski’ star insists she has “never been happier” after everything she’s been through.
She said: “I’m at the second coming of my age, and I’ve never been happier. If I didn’t fall down the steps and never realized what was happening, I would never be the girl sitting here.
“I learned my privacy, I learned who’s my friend and who I need to keep around me, and who I love.”
Jennifer Lawrence ‘totally’ wants Hunger Games return
Jennifer Lawrence is “totally” open to return to ‘The Hunger Games’.
The 32-year-old actress became a household name after portraying Katniss Everdeen in all four movies in the franchise – which were released between 2012 and 2015 – and she admitted she’d be delighted to ask to reprise the role once again.
Asked about the possibility during a Zoom interview with Variety, she said: “Oh, my God – totally! If Katniss ever could ever come back into my life, 100 percent.
“My producing partner just clutched her heart.”
In November, a prequel movie, ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’, will be released but Jennifer is not part of the cast.
But the actress can next be seen in ‘No Hard Feelings’ as a 32-year-old Uber driver who is hired by a wealthy couple to seduce their 19-year-old son to help him gain confidence before heading off to college in exchange for a car.
And when her younger co-star, 21-year-old Andrew Barth Feldman was asked if he remembered seeing Jennifer in ‘The Hunger Games’ for the first time, she joked: “You probably weren’t even born.”
But the actor heaped praise on the Oscar-winning star’s performance.
He said: “I was probably about 10 years old. I read the books and then the movies came out and it was a phenomenon. I watched them recently just for fun and I did text [Jennifer] when it was happening.
“Those movies are so good. That whole genre didn’t exist yet. Nor did we know that genre of film incorporate such a huge and truthful and beautiful performance from Jen.”
His co-star quipped: “I can’t believe you could read when you were 10.”
Britney Spears’ family fear meth addiction
Britney Spears’ family and ex-husband fear she is taking crystal meth.
The ‘Toxic’ singer’s rambling outbursts on social media have caused concerns amongst her fans, and now Kevin Federline – the father of her sons Preston, 17, and 16-year-old Jayden – has admitted he lives in fear of getting a phone call to say she has died, and her children are desperate for her to seek help.
Kevin told documentary-maker Daphne Barak: “I fear she’s on meth – I’ve been praying someone would make it public and that she wakes up. It’s terrifying. She is the mother of my boys.
“Every time the telephone rings, I fear that there will be devastating news.
“I don’t want the boys to wake up one morning and find their mother has taken an overdose.”
The filmmaker, who has spent nine months working with Kevin, Britney’s sons, her parents, and her brother for a new documentary, wrote in the Mail on Sunday newspaper that the boys refuse to meet with the 41-year-old singer because they claimed to have seen drugs being delivered to her house.
And Preston told her: “All we want is for her to listen to us.”
Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, is also concerned his daughter will die young like troubled British singer Amy Winehouse, who died in 2011 aged 27.
During a conversation about the ‘Back to Black’ singer, he said: “Yes, yes, exactly… Britney may die like Amy.”
And while the patriarch has been condemned by Britney’s fans for his role in overseeing the conservatorship she was under for 13 years until November 2021, he insisted he was only looking out for his daughter’s best interests.
He said: “Compare her wellness then and how she is doing now.”
Earlier this year, there were reports Britney was to be subjected to an intervention, orchestrated by Jodi Montgomery, the singer’s former conservator who had stayed on her team at the request of the ‘Gimme More’ hitmaker, but it failed to happen and the star took to Instagram to claim there had been no such plan.
But Daphne wrote: “Jodi had told Kevin to prepare his boys for what was about to happen. He was filming with me when the moment came.
“I watched him nervously, glued to his phone as he waited for a text from Jodi to say the intervention was under way. But no text ever came – only a message to say that Jodi had resigned.
“When rumours of it emerged online, Britney went on Instagram and denied the story – claiming there had been no such plan. But I was there. In reality, she had been alerted and the scheme fell apart.”
And she admitted a concerned relative told her: “This was the last chance of saving her.”
Preston and Jayden have had “good conversations” on the phone with their mother but are “not ready” to visit her and recalled previous erratic behaviour, including Britney’s insistence on continuing to bathe them when they were aged 11 and 12, and one occasion where they found her standing near the door of her youngest son’s bedroom, clutching a knife.
Jayden said: “She was standing there with a knife.”
Daphne noted: “The boys are doing their best to focus on their future. It is clear that they feel powerless to intervene in their mother’s life.
“Their only power is to stay away, hoping that one day she will understand their reasons and they can repair their relationship.”
Hitched!: Naomi Watts confirms marriage to Billy Crudup
Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup have got married.
The couple – who have been romantically linked since 2017 but only went public with their relationship at the Screen Actors Guild awards in February 2022 – have confirmed they have tied the knot in New York, with the ‘King Kong’ actress sharing a photo of them beaming outside what appeared to be a Manhattan courthouse, with the 54-year-old star clutching a bouquet of white flowers.
Naomi simply captioned her Instagram post: “Hitched!”
Among the first to comment on the photo were the ‘Diana’ star’s former partner Liev Schrieber, the father of her sons Sasha, 15, and 14-year-old Kai.
He wrote: “Congratulations!!! Gorgeous!!! (sic)”
She also shared some pictures on her Instagram Story, calling Billy “Hubby” in one, and in another, explained her flowers were “from the deli”.
Naomi’s post on Saturday (10.06.23) came a day after Page Six shared photos of her in the same Oscar de la Renta dress and 54-year-old Billy – who has William, 19, with Mary Louise Parker – in a blue suit arriving back to their apartment, wearing matching wedding rings.
In April, Naomi dodged questions about being engaged to ‘The Morning Show’ actor when she was quizzed over the huge diamond she was sporting on her ring finger.
‘Today’ host Hoda Kotb exclaimed: “My eye is hurting. There’s a big glint coming from some ring over here. It just struck me. But it’s beautiful.”
Her guest simply smiled and replied: “Oh, the brain fog!”
Billy previously explained he tries to keep his personal life private because he thinks it is better for his acting for people to not know too much about him.
The ‘Stanford Prison Experiment’ star said in 2018: “I try to make it a point of not commenting publicly one way or the other about my personal life.
“I don’t particularly see the advantage of people knowing too much about me if I’m constantly trying to trick them into thinking I’m someone else.”
‘It was pretty wild!’ Ashley Graham was discovered in a mall aged 12
Ashley Graham was discovered in a mall at the age of 12.
The 35-year-old plus-sized supermodel explained that she spent a lot of her childhood moving around various states but was scouted at her local mall in Nebraska and was promptly signed up to an international agency.
She told Maxim Magazine: “I’m from Lincoln, Nebraska–but technically I’m from Texas-Atlanta-Arkansas-New Hampshire-Nebraska. I moved to Nebraska when I was 12. I left when I was 17 but I still claim it because I love my Nebraska roots. I was actually discovered in a mall in Nebraska when I was 12 years old. Pretty wild.”
Ashely – who has since graced the cover of various top-selling magazines and even has had a Barbie doll made in her likeness – went on to explain that despite her mammoth career so far it is hard for her to pinpoint a particular highlight as she reflected that she is not sure she would have chosen modelling as a career when she was 12 had she not been spotted but remains grateful for the “platform” it has provided her with.
She said: “I have so many amazing moments in my career that it’s hard to really pinpoint them. A lot of them started in the early days, though, because of the impact that they made. My TED Talk; being on the cover of Sports Illustrated; my book, which is called ‘A New Model’; my Barbie which was made in my likeness; definitely the multiple amazing covers I’ve had–the Vogues and the Elles and the Bazaars.
“At 12 years old, do you really know who you want to be? But I would say, I don’t know how else I would be able to have this platform if it weren’t for modeling–so God bless you, modeling.”
Gigi Hadid ‘is happily single’ amid Leonardo DiCaprio rumors
Gigi Hadid is “very happy with her life”.
The 28-year-old model has been romantically linked to Leonardo DiCaprio in recent weeks, but Gigi is happily single at the moment.
A source told PEOPLE: “Gigi is single and is very happy with her life.”
The blonde beauty – who has previously dated the likes of Cody Simpson and Zayn Malik – and the Hollywood star have been spotted together on numerous occasions over recent months.
However, their rumored romance “was never serious”.
The insider explained: “Seeing Leo was never serious for her and it will never be serious. She likes his attention and enjoys hanging out with him. They have a lot of friends in common and also hang out in a group.”
Meanwhile, Gigi previously admitted that the COVID-19 lockdown changed the course of her career.
The model explained that lockdown and the birth of her daughter forced her to reevaluate her lifestyle.
Gigi – who has Khai, two, with Zayn – explained to ELLE magazine: “I got pregnant and I really started to think about what I wanted after, when the world opened back up.
“It kept coming back to just a more stabilised schedule where I’m not in a different country every week.”
Gigi ultimately opted to launch Guest In Residence, a line of cashmere designs.
The model explained that the business venture has given her more stability than she’s previously enjoyed.
Gigi – who is the older sister of fellow model Bella Hadid – said: “This is very stabilizing. I have an office that I come to. I know everyone here.
“I don’t have to look a certain way to show up. It’s a different experience for me, and it was the right time because I was ready for that.”
How Eva Longoria used Desperate Housewives as an education
Eva Longoria used her time on ‘Desperate Housewives’ as an education.
The 48-year-old actress had been featured in few small roles on TV and enjoyed a two-year stint on daytime soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless’ when she landed the role of Gabrielle Solis on the comedy-drama series in 2004 and explained that because the show was high in budget, she was able to observe behind the scenes in the years before she eventually became a director.
She told Parade magazine: “I used ‘Desperate Housewives’ as my film school because I was on the set for 10 years and really paid attention. Our budgets were movie budgets, so I was curious and asked a lot of questions. Like, what does that do? What do you mean when you say a 50 lens? I was an annoying fly on the wall. I felt like I wasn’t reaching my creative potential, so doing more always made sense to me.”
The ‘Dog Days’ star made her feature directorial debut with ‘Flamin Hot’ – which was released on Disney+ on June 9 – but has also been at the helm of episodes of series like ‘Black-ish’ and ‘The Mick’ and insisted that she has “always” been a director and had not made a sudden career move.
She added: “People think I’m an actor-turned-director. But I’ve always been a director. I’ve always been fascinated with the process of putting together a project and having control of the final product. As an actor, you stand on the mark and say lines. But you don’t write any of the words coming out of your mouth. So, you’re at the mercy of the process. I felt like I didn’t have control.”
Kim Kardashian ‘will do a wonderful job on American Horror Story’
Zachary Quinto was “very impressed” by Kim Kardashian on the set of ‘American Horror Story’.
The 42-year-old beauty has been handed a role on the horror series, and Zachary is confident that she’ll do a great job.
The 46-year-old actor told PEOPLE: “I did a cameo on this season of ‘American Horror Story’ and I got to meet her. She was so lovely and warm and, really, I don’t think she needs my advice.”
Zachary revealed that he’s now excited to see Kim on the show.
He said: “She seemed really in her element, and I was really impressed by her spirit and her openness. I really look forward to seeing this season because I think she’s gonna do a wonderful job.”
Earlier this year, Kim revealed that she was taking acting lessons ahead of her appearance on the show.
The brunette beauty explained that she’d been busily preparing for her role.
Asked if she was taking acting lessons, Kim told Variety: “I am, of course. It’s a challenge. I like to challenge myself.”
Kim has enjoyed success in various spheres over the years, and the reality star revealed that she’s keen to test her acting skills.
She said: “It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow. I’m so excited for the experience.”
Prior to that, Kim claimed that she doesn’t care what people think of her.
Discussing her talents and the keys to her success, Kim told Interview Magazine: “I’m like, ‘Well, we have a TV show.’ But just because we’re not singing and dancing and acting on the show doesn’t mean that the fame didn’t come from that.
“But then, I would write that as a hashtag, not bad for a girl with no talent, because people used to be like, ‘Well, what do you do? What’s your talent?’ And I’m like, ‘Didn’t know I needed one.'”
I grew up feeling different, says Mel B
Mel B grew up “feeling different”.
The 48-year-old pop star has revealed that she developed “a proper idea of justice” after she experienced racism during her younger years.
Mel – who was born and raised in Leeds, in northern England – told the Guardian newspaper: “I grew up feeling different.
“My dad is from Nevis in the Caribbean, and my mum is an English rose. There weren’t that many mixed-race kids in Leeds, so I was always called horrible names: half-breed, redskin.
“But I was brought up with a lot of love and confidence-boosting from my parents. They said, ‘You be who you are.’ I was nicknamed ‘The Breeze’ as a kid, because I ran everywhere. I was hyperactive and a sponge.”
Mel’s dad also experienced racism in Leeds and that helped to shape her “moral stance”.
The singer – who shot to fame as part of the Spice Girls in the 90s – explained: “We were barred from the working men’s club on our street, because my dad was black. It gave me a proper idea of justice and of taking a moral stance.
“When I got into the Spice Girls, I went back to that club and said, ‘I’m going to report you. No, in fact I’m going to buy this place, because you didn’t let me in when I was a kid.'”
Mel enjoyed huge success as part of the Spice Girls. However, she acknowledges that they’re all “very different” people.
Mel – who was known as Scary Spice – explained: “We were very different and decided to just be ourselves.
“I didn’t straighten my hair and I was probably one of the first people to say publicly, ‘I like men and women.’ It was refreshing to see five girls who look completely different all getting along, singing songs they’d written that supported girls and women.”
Selena Gomez hails ‘awesome’ co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short
Selena Gomez initially felt “terrified” about working with Steve Martin and Martin Short.
The 30-year-old actress stars alongside Steve, 77, and Martin, 73, on ‘Only Murders in the Building’, and Selena has revealed that she previously felt anxious about working with them.
The brunette beauty told The Wrap: “Working with Steve and Marty, I was terrified at first, but relieved that comedy happened to be in my comfort zone. If anything, they’ve helped sharpen my skills.
“I hope to be as funny as they are one day. They are just really gifted at creating a situation out of nothing and making people laugh and I admire that deeply.
“I guess comedy comes quite naturally for me, but it’s also helping me become more confident in approaching other roles that might be very different.”
Selena has loved working with the veteran stars on the hit comedy-drama series.
The actress explained that they’ve helped to create a very positive atmosphere on set.
She said: “We’re constantly laughing on set. And I think that is coming from the top, meaning Steve and Marty really make sure that they are coming from a place of joy. They just want everyone to laugh.
“Like, they get so happy when there’s a camera guy behind the camera just moving their body because they can’t laugh out loud. It is the best feeling to make someone laugh. It truly is. It’s awesome. So they’re constantly doing jokes.
“I’m picking on them, they’re picking on me. Even in the morning, just walking into hair and make-up, sometimes I’ll just look at Steve and laugh. And then he’ll laugh because he knows I’m just laughing at him just being him. It’s ridiculous. Both of us.”
Elliot Page’s friends not shocked by transition
Elliot Page’s friends weren’t shocked by his transition.
The 36-year-old actor announced in 2020 that he is transgender but revealed that his close friends were not surprised as it is something he had talked about for years.
He told The Guardian newspaper: “For people super-close to me it was definitely not shocking. I was hanging out with a friend the other day, and they were telling me something I said when I was 27 and we were working together. I saw just how much I had been talking about it. For years! And then proceeding to talk myself out of it.
“It came mostly from internalised shame, internalised transphobia. I was overwhelmed by the fact that I was a known actor, and what is that going to mean? I was trying to wrap my head around it.
“But before coming out as queer in 2014, I’d already made the decision that living my life, to me, was going to be more important than being in movies. I was like: ‘What am I doing? This is my one chance to be alive; like, this just isn’t f****** worth it. It’s just not.’ So I thought less about the work and more about what does it mean to transition publicly and felt overwhelmed by it. It just kept coming up. It was not letting go.”
And Page revealed he has felt a great deal of “body euphoria” since transitioning.
He said: “To be honest, I experience it every single day when I wake up in the morning. When I say that I was always consumed by discomfort, I mean it. So the fact that I get up in the morning and get out of bed and stretch like this [he extends his arms to their full length] – that to me is body euphoria.
“Working out this morning without my shirt on, and just being sweaty and jumping in the shower, just being able to be present in my body and the joy of it … When I say I never thought I’d feel this way I really, really mean that. I never thought I would just feel: ‘Oh here I am and I’m going about my day.’ So for me body euphoria is the most obvious stuff – getting out of the shower, seeing myself in the mirror, walking down the street with my shoulders back and just feeling like I can engage with the world in a present way.”
Niall Horan’s girlfriend inspired ‘happier’ tracks on album
Niall Horan’s girlfriend inspired some of the “happier” tracks on his new album.
The 29-year-old singer/songwriter’s third solo album ‘The Show’ features songs inspired by his love Amelia Woolley and Niall revealed it felt good to write love songs that were not about heartbreak.
He told ET Canada: “Yeah, 100 per cent. I’m in a relationship, so I think that comes with [it].
“Usually it’s the love songs are heartbreak songs, so it’s nice to be able to write better, you know, more happier stuff.”
However, Niall admitted that Amelia was “taken aback” to have some songs written about her.
He said: “I think she’s just like, what? Really? She’s like, taken aback, I suppose.”
Although Niall told Bustle “that’s dead right” when he was told it seemed like he was madly in love, he insisted he wants to keep his love life as private as possible.
He said: “If everyone knew everything, [my songwriting] wouldn’t be as candid, would it? There’d be all these theories, and I’m not in town for that. I’m here to write what’s on my brain, and love happens to be one of those things that’s flying around me.”
The pair have been dating since early 2020.
Game of Thrones star Jessica Henwick: ‘You don’t quit the industry, the industry quits you!’
Jessica Henwick has “always wanted to be a storyteller” in whatever form that may be.
The 30-year-old star is known for her role as Nymeria Sand in HBO fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’ but has also turned her hand to writing with the BAFTA-nominated ‘Bus Girl’ and explained that there may come a day when she may end up just doing one over the other.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: “It’s interesting because I kind of see them as two strings of the same bow. I’ve always just wanted to be a storyteller, you know, and acting or writing or directing. They’re all just different forms of storytelling. So I don’t feel like I will choose one over the other but I always say about this industry. You never quit the industry the industry quits you, so there might be a day where I wake up and the industry goes ‘You know what we’re done with Actor Jess. Now we just want Writer Jess’. And I hope I’ll be gracious enough to accept that cool when it comes.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Knives Out: Glass Onion’ actress is currently voicing the role of Dotty in the Boomerang series ‘Moley’ – and has also written various episodes – and hopes that the series is “educational” as well as fun.
She said: “Dotty is Moley’s best friend and she’s a kind of firecracker. I think it’s a really, really fun show. I actually enjoy the show, and I am an adult. So I do think it’s something that crosses age ranges quite easily. But I just think it’s really fun.
And I think it’s in moles are sort of untapped IP to an extent. It’s an interesting new creature, not one that you would necessarily expect to be the face of a kid show, but they’re so fun. And the animation is beautiful. And of course, every episode is talking about real life, real life, moral quandaries and yeah, I hope that it’s fun and educational.”
New episodes of ‘Moley’ air on Boomerang this month.
Lewis Capaldi praised for putting mental health first
Roman Kemp is proud of Lewis Capaldi for putting his mental health first.
Lewis recently announced he was taking three weeks off from touring in order to look after himself and even though it means he will miss the Capital FM Summertime Ball, which Roman hosts, Roman thinks he has done the right thing.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Of course I’m gutted we won’t see him — but actually I’m really proud of him for speaking out.
“It’s so important people understand it’s OK to take time out and look after yourself and your mental wellbeing — so somebody like Lewis who is so honest and open with fans can make a real difference.
“I sent him a message wishing him well and hopefully he’ll feel back to his best again soon.
“But it’s so brave to speak out, especially when you are at the very top of your game like he is.
“There’s an assumption that if you’re very successful and things are going well you can’t struggle with mental health, but that just isn’t true.
“He’s setting a great example to people and I wish him all the best.”
Lewis, 26, recently announced that he would be taking time out until Glastonbury later this month for the sake of his “mental and physical” health.
He wrote on Instagram: “Hi everyone, hope you’re well This is a really difficult message, and one that hurts me a lot to have to type, but I’m really sorry to say that I’m going to have to cancel all commitments from now until I play Glastonbury on June 24th.
“It’s been such an incredible time leading into this new album, and seeing all of the support from everyone has been beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of. That said, the last few months have been full on both mentally and physically, I haven’t been home properly since Christmas and at the moment I’m struggling to get to grips with it all.
“I need to take a moment to rest and recover, to be at my best and ready for Glastonbury and all of the other incredible shows coming up so that I’m able to continue doing what I love for a long time to come. I need to take these three weeks to be Lewis from Glasgow for a bit, spend some time with my family and friends and do normal life things that are an important part of me feeling better. I hope everyone understands.”
Hugh Grant in talks to star in Heretic
Hugh Grant is in talks to star in ‘Heretic’.
The 62-year-old actor will take on the leading role in upcoming horror movie from ‘A Quiet Place’ writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods.
The pair wrote and are set to direct the new movie, which is being backed by A24.
Exact plot details being kept secret but, according to The Hollywood Reporter, it tells the story of “two missionaries that attempt to convert a dangerous man”.
The movie was due to start filming in July but production could be delayed if a threatened SAG-AFTRA strike goes ahead.
Meanwhile, Hugh has revealed he rejected “big blockbuster special-effects-type” films before agreeing to do ‘Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’.
The actor – who is best known for his roles in the ‘Bridget Jones’ and ‘Paddington’ films – portrays Forge Fitzwilliam, an ambitious rogue and con artist in the fantasy comedy heist flick, and he found it to be unexpectedly “charming and funny”.
Asked about it being an unusual role for him, he told SFX magazine: “I suppose I was a bit surprised as well. I have occasionally been sent big blockbuster special-effects-type things, but they’ve never struck a chord in me.
“So I wasn’t expecting much, but I found it completely charming and funny.”
The ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ star also confessed to being “slightly frightened” of his co-star Michelle Rodriguez, who plays a barbarian who was exiled from the Uthgardt Elk Tribe, but said she’s “a good hugger”.
Asked what he thought of his co-stars, he replied: “I’m slightly frightened of Michelle. I don’t know why.
“I think she’s gonna beat me up. No one has ever worn a costume better than she wears that costume. She’s from the streets of New York and I’m from the cloisters of Oxford … So she frightens me, but she couldn’t be nicer. Good hugger.”
Hailee Steinfeld’s Spider-Man journey ‘comes full circle’
Hailee Steinfeld feels her Spider-Man journey has come “full circle”.
The 26-year-old actress was a big fan of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man during her younger years, and Hailee is now thrilled to have voiced the part of Spider-Woman in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’.
The Hollywood star told HeyUGuys: “Tobey Maguire was sort of my introduction into the world of Spider-Man and it’s so crazy to now be here and be a part of this … see how things have come full circle.”
Hailee – who previously voiced her character in 2018’s ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ – also confessed to recording some of her lines in particularly unusual places.
She shared: “There were multiple occasions when I’d get a last-minute call and they’d be like, ‘Hey, find yourself a closet, record these three lines and then delete all of these messages’.”
Meanwhile, Hailee recently revealed that she’s keen to take herself out of her “comfort zone” in her professional life.
The ‘Hawkeye’ star is eager to try new things and to keep challenging herself.
Hailee told PEOPLE: “I want to feel like I’m constantly being challenged and taken out of my comfort zone.
“I think it’s easy to feel like, ‘Okay, you’ve nailed something. I can totally do that again. I can do it five more times!’ But I want to do something that feels new and different and fulfilling in a way that I haven’t quite felt before.”
Hailee also revealed that she feels grateful for all of her success.
She said: “I feel so grateful for everything that has happened in my life. I’m doing what I love, and I never thought that I would be doing it to this extent.”
Harry Styles jokes about Geordie Shore tattoo comparisons
Harry Styles joked that he looks like he belongs in ‘Geordie Shore’ because of all of his tattoos.
The 29-year-old singer / songwriter has over 50 inkings on his body and quipped to his pal Roman Kemp that he looks like an extra from the reality TV show, which is the UK counterpart to ‘Jersey Shore’.
Roman told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I saw him from behind, and it was only the tattoos that gave it away.
“He’s really muscled up. He looks good for it, but he joked that he looks like he’s joined ‘Geordie Shore’.
“I’m sure his fans won’t complain.”
One of Harry’s tattoos is a matching penguin with Ed Sheeran but Ed recently insisted that the pair have “slowed down” with their inkings.
Speaking on the ‘Sprout’ podcast, he said: “I think we’ve both slowed down a bit with tattoos. I think when you’re in your early 20’s its just like, ‘Let’s get loads,’ but I’m pretty sure he’s slowed down and I’ve definitely slowed down a lot.
“I’ve known Harry since I was 19 and he was 16. When we both started there was a guitarist called Chris Leonard we both knew who I wrote ‘Lego House’ and ‘Give Me Love’ with.
“He used to play with the One Direction lads and me and Harry used to sleep at his house together.
“The that ‘What Makes you Beautiful’ went number one, ‘+’ went number one the same day and we’re both staying at the house at that point.
“So now to be where we are, he’s on a stadium tour and I’m on a stadium tour, it’s quite weird looking back at the journey.
“There’s something about going through your formative years, you know like it’s quite weird. Like, he’s obviously, like, on top of the world right now and has gone from being in the biggest boy band in the world to then being the biggest solo artist in the world.
“And it’s just it’s an amazing journey to see. I’m, like, really, like super, super proud of him.”
Noel Gallagher: Would you vote to get rid of social media?
Noel Gallagher believes people would vote to get rid of social media and the internet if given a choice.
The former Oasis star, 53, compared the advent of social media to Brexit as he wondered if there was a vote again today how many would vote to remain in Europe and insisted that things were ultimately “better” before the internet cme along.
He told The Irish Times: “I think social media is like Brexit, right; if we could just pause and have a vote on it now, d’you reckon you’d vote to leave now? It’s like with the internet. If we could pause it right now and vote ‘Would you rather get rid of it?”
“I mean, we probably wouldn’t, because there’s more f******* in the world than sane people. [But] I think things were better pre-internet, I think that’s a fact.”
The ‘Wonderwall’ hitmaker went on to add that the same notion of “idiots” applies in the musc world too as he lamented that the masses do not really know what they want following the onset of streaming services such as Spotify and argued that there is no longer a “sense of anticipation” from fans.
He added: “[Labels] know what people want, because they can see what people want, because they can see the numbers and the streams and the likes and all that kind of thing. So they give the people what they want. But people don’t know what they want – they’re fucking idiots! They didn’t want Jimi Hendrix; they didn’t want the Sex Pistols; they didn’t want Oasis; they certainly wouldn’t have wanted The Smiths. So it’s taken away that magic, I think. It’s destroyed innocence. And it spoils things. You go on tour, and play the first night, and everyone knows the setlist by the second night. Everyone knows what to expect, and there’s no sense of anticipation. I like going to gigs, not knowing what the band are playing. The dude beside me knows exactly what they’re going to play and when they’re gonna play it. And I pity them, I really do.”
Breaking Bad star Mike Batayeh dies aged 52
Mike Batayeh has died at the age of 52.
The actor – who was perhaps best known for playing laundromat manager Dennis Markowski in ‘Breaking Bad’ – has passed away after suffering a heart attack.
The actor’s sister told TMZ that he died at his home in Michigan on June 1.
Alongside a throwback photo of the actor, his family said on Facebook: “It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that my sisters and I announce the passing of our dear brother @Mike Batayeh on Thursday June 1 2023. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many. Funeral arrangements will be posted at a later date. #mikebatayeh #mikebatayehbreakingbad (sic)”
Batayeh appeared in multiple episodes of ‘Breaking Bad’ in 2011 and 2012.
His other TV credits included appearances in ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ and ‘The Bernie Mac Show’.
Some of Batayeh’s colleagues have already paid tribute to the late actor.
Hollywood director Rola Nashef wrote on Facebook: “A devastating loss of a huge life – Mike Batayeh, you were everybody’s friend. And I mean everybody. There isn’t a person that I introduced you to or a waitress that took our order whom you didn’t make laugh, think, inspire and root for.”
Elsewhere, Yorg Kerasiotis – who starred alongside Batayeh in the urban comedy ‘Detroit Unleaded’ – wrote: “You were the superstar we always admired and one of the funniest men I’ve ever known.”
Batayeh’s family have already confirmed that any donations made in his honour will be used to support young people in south-west Detroit.
Kieran Culkin ‘didn’t know Succession was ending’
Kieran Culkin didn’t know the final season of ‘Succession’ would be his last.
The 40-year-old actor played the part of Roman Roy on the hit HBO drama series, and Kieran has admitted to being caught off-guard by the makers of the show.
Speaking to Claire Danes for the Actors on Actors issue of Variety, Kieran explained: “Jesse Armstrong, our showrunner-writer, didn’t know.
“He told me before the season started that he thinks this is the end, but he doesn’t know. I’d actually stopped asking what was coming later. And that was the thing: I liked it. I liked not knowing!
“And then this year, he mentioned that it might be the end before we started shooting, so I started asking him questions.”
Kieran was curious to know how the storylines would unravel.
The actor shared: “[Jesse] told me what happens with Logan, and I asked him to break down everything. And he explained the entire season to me. And then when he got to the end, I said, ‘Well, that seems like that’s the end of the show.’ And he goes, ‘Yeah, it does, doesn’t it? Although …’ And then he just started talking about all these different ideas off the top of his head.”
Meanwhile, Kieran also claimed that his marriage benefited from him watching ‘Fleishman Is in Trouble’.
The actor was a fan of the TV mini-series, which was based on a 2019 novel of the same name, and he thinks it helped his real-life romance with Jazz Charton.
He said: “There’s a line in the show, something to the extent of, ‘There’s one person’s point of view, and then there’s the boiling abyss between them, and then the other person’s point of view.’
“As I was watching it, I was like, ‘This is his perspective.’ But, ‘Come on, Rachel – step your game up a little bit! You’re going through a hard time, but come on, you’re kind of a nightmare to this family.’ That was why that episode hit me so hard.”

Amy Schumer ‘knew Pete Davidson was destined for stardom’
Amy Schumer was always convinced that Pete Davidson was destined for stardom.
The 42-year-old actress saw Pete, 29, perform a stand-up routine during his teenage years, and she was immediately impressed by him.
During an appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen’, Amy joked: “I do take full credit for Pete Davidson’s success.
“He was like 19 or 18 or something, and absolutely I was like, ‘This kid’s gonna be a star.'”
Amy also recalled being similarly impressed by Michael Che, who is best known for starring on ‘Saturday Night Live’.
She said: “Same with Michael Che. You meet these people and they’re like, living … far out in Queens, sharing a room, having roommates. And you’re like, ‘Oh, but you’re gonna [gestures into the distance] someday.”
Pete announced his decision to quit ‘Saturday Night Live’ last year.
The stand-up star admitted to being “super emotional”, as he reflected on his time on the TV show.
Alongside a throwback video, Pete wrote on Instagram: “I wasn’t really a sketch performer I was just a stand up. I knew I could never keep up or go toe to toe with a Kenan Thompson or a Kate McKinnon so I was super scared at figuring out what I could possibly bring to or do for such a historic, respected show and platform. I figured since I’m a stand up I’ll just try my stand up and personal bits on Weekend Update as myself and I’m so glad I did. I got to share so much with this audience and literally grow up in front of your eyes. We were together through the good and the bad, the happiest and the darkest of times.
“I owe Lorne Michaels and everyone at SNL my life. Im so grateful and I wouldn’t be here without them. I appreciate you guys always having my back and sticking up for me even when that wasn’t the popular opinion. (sic)”
Boris Johnson claims he’s been ‘kicked out of parliament’
Boris Johnson has quit as an MP after receiving the Partygate report.
The former UK prime minister claims that he’s been driven “out of parliament” after receiving the report into whether he lied to MPs over breaking COVID-19 rules amid lockdown.
Johnson, 58, said in a statement that the privileges committee – which has been investigating his behaviour during lockdown – has made clear “that they are determined” to kick him out of parliament.
He said: “I have written to my association in Uxbridge and South Ruislip to say that I am stepping down forthwith and triggering an immediate by-election.
“I am very sorry to leave my wonderful constituency. It has been a huge honour to serve them, both as Mayor and MP.”
Johnson has been accused of misleading parliament by insisting that all COVID rules were followed at Downing Street during his infamous lockdown gatherings.
The former prime minister – who left office in September – claims that the committee “have still not produced a shred of evidence that I knowingly or recklessly misled the Commons”.
He explained: “They know perfectly well that when I spoke in the Commons I was saying what I believed sincerely to be true and what I had been briefed to say, like any other minister.”
Johnson claims to be the victim of a “witch hunt”.
He said: “I am now being forced out of parliament by a tiny handful of people, with no evidence to back up their assertions, and without the approval even of Conservative party members let alone the wider electorate.”
Meanwhile, Johnson also used his statement to slam current Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his government.
He said: “When I left office last year the government was only a handful of points behind in the polls. That gap has now massively widened.
“Just a few years after winning the biggest majority in almost half a century, that majority is now clearly at risk. Our party needs urgently to recapture its sense of momentum and its belief in what this country can do.”
Johnny Depp ‘feels happy’ as he turns 60
Johnny Depp is feeling “happy” as he celebrates his 60th birthday.
The movie star – who turned 60 on Friday (06.09.23) – is thrilled to have finally “moved on” from his personal dramas, including his high-profile legal battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard.
A source told PEOPLE: “In the last year, he’s been able to touch all these different parts of his life that he hadn’t been able to do that much before because he was so busy dealing with the matters tied to the Amber trial.
“It’s nice for him to be an artist first and foremost.”
Johnny recently explained that he’s consciously distanced himself from Hollywood over recent months, following his legal battles.
During a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival, he said: “Do I feel boycotted now? No, not at all. But I don’t feel boycotted by Hollywood because I don’t think about it. I don’t think about Hollywood. I don’t have much further need for Hollywood myself.”
Meanwhile, Camille Vasquez – who represented the actor during his legal trial in 2022 – recently revealed that she remains in touch with Johnny.
The lawyer also observed that Johnny has enjoyed significant success over the last 12 months, after he won his case with his ex-wife.
Camille – who rose to prominence during the defamation trial in Virginia – told PEOPLE in May: “The last time I spoke to him on the phone was probably a few months ago, but we text often.
“There’s a group of us that texts with him and we send emails, obviously congratulating him on the success that he’s had in the last year. He has a big birthday coming up, so I’m sure he’ll be celebrating.”
Lala Kent regrets lashing out at Raquel Leviss
Lala Kent regrets attacking Raquel Leviss at the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ reunion.
The 32-year-old star has revealed that she regrets how she approached her co-star during the reunion, after it was revealed that Raquel had a months-long affair with Tom Sandoval.
Speaking to TMZ, Lala explained: “In the moment during the reunion, after I left, I felt dirty.
“After watching last night when she had finally had the breakdown – just as a human, because for me, it’s a reality TV show – I feel like we’re all, kind of, playing the same game, but when I watched that, I was like, ‘Oh, we’re maybe dealing with someone who maybe shouldn’t be on this type of platform.’
“It can be rough, and you have to know when you’re on a show like this and you make bad decisions, these are the kind of things that happen, especially when you’re throwing daggers at people while you’re doing something like that.”
Earlier this week, an insider revealed that Raquel plans to share her side of the scandal after she returns home from a healthy facility.
A source told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “She is a young woman that is and has been remorseful for her actions and has apologized repeatedly.
“Her treatment is helping her learn the basis of her decisions and to grow from her mistakes with the hope of making better choices and becoming a better person.”
Raquel – whose affair prompted Tom to split from Ariana Madix – is now keen to share her side of the story with the public.
The insider added: “Raquel looks forward to sharing her story with the unfiltered truth when she comes out.”
RuPaul on ignoring the haters: ‘I always knew I was going to be a star!’
RuPaul has “always imagined” himself being famous.
The 62-year-old star drag scene pioneer is the face of the multi-million dollar ‘Drag Race’ franchise but explained that in order to combat any naysayers, he thinks back to when he was a child performing for his mum in their living room, and encouraged others to not care about what anyone else thinks when it comes to pursuing their passion.
He told UsWeekly: “I always saw myself as a star and I always imagined myself having my own show. Whenever I go on stage I say to myself, ‘Ru, you’re going into Mama’s living room. I used to perform for my mom and that’s what helps me overcome nerves about anything, including what people may have said about me. What other people say about me is none of my business! Life is tough, there’s no way around that but you can arm yourself with knowledge. And to hell with what anyone thinks, you have to do things because you want to and not rely on anyone else for validation.”
The TV host went on to explain that in the years since his reality compeition – which now airs several international versions – burst onto the screens in 2009 that the concept of drag has become “much more accessible” to a general audience and described the shift as “beautiful.”
He added: “Drag has evolved a lot in the last 10 to 20 years. Drag is much more accessible, which is a beautiful thing. Remember, we’re all born naked — and the rest is drag!”
Eric André convinced ‘fat people’ are ‘happy’: ‘Skinny people are b****** – they’re f****** starving!’
Eric André is convinced “fat people” are “happy”.
The 40-year-old comedian recently lost 40lbs in six months for the upcoming sixth season of ‘The Eric André Show’, but is advising fans to “stay fat” as he thinks dieting causing “attitudes” and moodiness.
He told GQ: “There is a reason skinny people are b****** and fat people are jolly… skinny people have f****** attitudes because they’re f****** starving.
“I say stay fat. If you’re fat or chubby, stay that way. I felt great… but it wasn’t worth cutting out French fries.”
The comic also joked “sumo wrestlers” and “Santa Claus” are “happy”.
While he admitted it was “nice” being able to fit into his “old jeans and shorts”, he got moody in the process.
Eric, who recently had a brief relationship with supermodel Emily Ratajkowski, 32, added: “My assistant came up to me and asked me (how I) I feel – f****** hungry! I remember being irritated… you look good in the mirror and you’re happy with what you see but you’re hungry – and you can’t drink alcohol. You can’t really have fun.”
He said the process of “getting ripped” took him from 213lbs to 173lbs and below nine per cent body fat saw him stick to “boring” and “dreadful” pre-made meals.
Eric – who says he prefers “hot Cheetos, rum, cognac, and playing video games” to being a fitness fanatic – also confessed as soon as his transformation was complete he gorged on “an entire pepperoni pizza”, adding: “And then I went to Portugal and drank my weight in wine.
“I got back from the trip and stepped on the scale, and I undid six months of work in about three weeks.”
Eric shared before-and-after images of his body on his Instagram on Friday (09.06.23) and told fans: “I’ll never do a body modification again! That s*** was brutal for both season.”
Jenna Jameson says she has found her ‘person’ after marrying girlfriend Jessi Lawless
Jenna Jameson says she has found her “person” after marrying girlfriend Jessi Lawless.
The twice-divorced former porn star, 49, who has twin sons Jesse Jameson and Journey Jette, 14, with ex-partner Tito Ortiz, and daughter Batel Lu, six, with ex-fiancé Lior Bitton, tied the knot with her TikTok star girlfriend Jessi, 40, on 23 May in Las Vegas.
Jenna told People after the ceremony: “I found the person that I truly should have always been with.”
The couple met via TikTok and have been dating since January, before getting engaged three months later.
Jenna also revealed to People the chapel where they got hitched was the same one her parents used to tie the knot.
She walked down the aisle to Johnny Cash’s ‘Ring of Fire’ with Jessi’s dad, as her father has passed away.
Jenna wore a white mini dress with a veil and pink platform heels, with pink dyed hair, while Jessi was dressed in a black suit.
Their wedding was officiated by a Johnny Cash impersonator instead of a traditional Elvis on, and the pair rented a neon green Lamborghini for the day.
Jenna said: “I try and go over in my mind why I ever dated or married men, and it’s selfish and bad to say, but I think my driving force were children.
“And now that I’ve really found myself, I’m just accepting of everything that I feel inside and don’t shove everything done.”
Jessi, who has more than 1.5 million TikTok followers initially didn’t respond to Jenna on the platform as she had a girlfriend at the time, but got in touch once the relationship ended.
Jenna said: “I knew I would get what I wanted. She was worth it. Bust she presented a challenge and I’m very driven when it comes to challenges, so I knew I just had to lie and wait. And she came back around.”
Jessi proposed to Jenna in their bedroom in April and she told People about the moment: “We were laying in bed and we were just talking, and I had the ring, “I’d had the ring for a minute, and I reached over in my bedside table and I pulled it out and walked around to her side of the bed.
“I got down on one knee and I told her that she was the most incredible woman that I’d ever encountered and I could think of nothing better than for her to be my wife.”
Jenna updated her Instagram page to Jenna Jameson Lawless, calling herself “Jessi’s Girl”.
She was previously married to Brad Armstrong from 1996 until 2001, and Jay Grdina from 2003 until 2006.
Nicolas Cage’s son accuses ‘various materialistic people’ of trying to exploit him and his family
Nicolas Cage’s son has accused “various materialistic people” of trying to exploit him and his family’s fame and fortune.
Weston Cage Coppola, 32, who his ‘Face/Off’ actor dad, 59, had with actress Christina Fulton, 55, made the accusation while opening up about his life, sobriety, and a bitter spousal and child support court battle with the mother of his twin daughters.
He said on his Instagram in a long post titled ‘Justice For Weston Starts Now’, which featured an image of him with his famous father: “Various materialistic people and those who are insidiously inspired by my fame and the fame of my family have ceaselessly tried to destroy me.”
Weston – whose great-uncle is Oscar-winning ‘Apocalypse Now’ director Francis Ford Coppola, 84, added: “People that meet us have a false fantasy that my father, uncles, and I will be catering to their dreams of making people famous or that we have money growing on trees to hand out.
“When their fantasies are squashed, they hold us hostage with smear campaigns that certain journalists live to be the ‘first to cover the drama.'”
Weston did not specifically name his ex-wife Hila Coppola Cage in the post after she filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court seeking additional spousal and child support plus $30,000 in legal fees to hire a leading lawyer to help in the case.
The former couple’s legal clash started earlier this year when Hila filed a claim demanding $4,634 in monthly support to help raise her and musician Weston’s two-year-old twins, Venice and Cyress.
In earlier court filings, she claimed her ex-partner maintains a “lavish lifestyle” and is flush with cash from monthly trust fund payments of $16,666, along with money he receives from acting gigs.
Weston also used his Instagram post to compare himself to Johnny Depp, 60, who recently won his defamation claim against ex-wife Amber Heard, 37, saying: “This is why Johnny Depp had to prove himself innocent in the unconstitutional state of California. It’s all guilty until proven innocent.”
He also claimed his mental health and sobriety is in a “perfect” place and said he is planning to set the record straight about his life in a documentary that will expose people he says have entered his life with an “agenda”.
Weston said: “I will have a documentary and biopic that will feature evidence of who I am, my talents and all the wrongdoings and wrongdoers of my life by shining light to the truth and no longer the myth.
He has insisted he only receives $7,300 a month from his famous five-times married dad – who has two other children by two of his wives including his current partner Riko Shibata – claimed around $1,500 of it goes to the mother of his two sons.
He also declared he “voluntarily” paid Hila $2,000 per month.
Jake Paul learned a lot about himself from Tommy Fury loss
Jake Paul felt most like an “actual boxer” after losing to Tommy Fury.
The YouTuber was on the wrong side of a split decision when he faced the former ‘Love Island’ star in Saudi Arabia in April, and he admitted the defeat made him learn far more about himself than anything else he’s done.
He told Boxing News: “I’ve learned so much more about myself in that loss than really a lot of other moments in my life.
“The period after the fight… It was intense man. Lots of deep thoughts, lots of changes being made within the camp, switching things up and having to revisit the drawing board and taking a look at everything – myself, my coaches, my friends, what went wrong.
“It wasn’t necessarily the easiest to figure out and a lot of those answers weren’t fun.”
Jake admitted the aftermath provided him with a “reality check” and a chance to examine what really drives him.
He said: “There had to be a lot of these changes but it was a great reality check and, man, it’s like I’m going round knocking pretty much everyone out or down to the canvas at least and making a bunch of money doing it.
“And you can get kind of caught up in that and you can lose that hunger.
“I thought I still had that same hunger and motivation, but it turns out, in hindsight, I didn’t.
“Obviously I’m new in this game and so there’s so much to learn and the weeks after were some of the toughest moments of my life, but now I’m able to look back at it, this reaffirmed my belief and almost made me sign this contract that maybe wasn’t even signed yet, with boxing, forever.
“Because when I was winning and winning and winning, I was like, ‘Oh, I might just win a couple more fights and then retire.
“But now I realise I need this sport and I’m going to be here for a lot longer than I originally thought.”
Nick Jonas lost out on Wicked role
Nick Jonas missed out on a role in the ‘Wicked’ movie.
The 30-year-old star has revealed that he and his older brother Joe Jonas auditioned for the part of Fiyero in the upcoming film adaptation of the hit musical but missed out to ‘Bridgerton’ actor Jonathan Bailey.
Nick told Variety: “Yes, it’s true. Joe and I both went out, and we didn’t get it. But that’s the life of an actor.
“The role was Fiyero. I think it went really well. I was very happy coming out of the room. I’m a huge fan of the show, and that’s a role I always thought it would be fun to play.
“But I think Jonathan is going to do a great job, and I’m sure the movie is going to be great.”
Nick has a role in Robert Schwartzman’s film ‘The Good Half’ as a writer named Renn who travels home to Cleveland for his mother’s funeral and the star felt he had a deep understanding of his character.
The Jonas Brothers singer said: “I felt like I understood the voice of the character. When we find him, he is going through one of life’s most challenging moments, the loss of a loved one. I’ve experienced that in my life, and it was one of the hardest things I’ve gone through.”
Nick continued: “Robert and I really trusted in one another and built an environment on set where we understood what’s on the page, but had freedom to put it in your own voice.
“It was empowering. And we got to shoot in my home state of New Jersey.”
Nick also explained that he has found it challenging to juggle both his acting and music commitments.
He said: “In the last few years, it’s been harder because music has been the more dominant of my two gigs. But throughout Covid, I doubled down on my production company and building out my development slate in film and TV. A lot of these projects are things I intend to star in as well.
“So then it’s just about working backwards with my team to find the windows that make the most sense.
“The long-winded way of answering your question is, yes I certainly want to see more acting projects on my schedule.”
‘You’ll learn a lot more about me…’ Janelle Monae spills secrets on new LP The Age of Pleasure
Janelle Monae has teased that her new album ‘The Age of Pleasure’ will reveal who her crush is and a lot more secrets about her personal life.
The 37-year-old musician-and-actress has just dropped her fourth studio album and she insists it is a record on which she bares her soul and shares details about her life and personality that no one has ever previously known.
When asked if she currently has a crush in an interview with Audacy’s V-103, she answered: “I do. After you hear the album, you’ll know… you’ll learn a lot more about me.”
Janelle identifies as non-binary and uses they/them and her/she pronouns and has described herself as being both bisexual and pansexual.
In the interview, the ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ star also shared what she looks for in an ideal partner, insisting she needs a person who is going to make her laugh and who wants to “evolve” in life.
She said: “I love to laugh. Like, if you don’t have a good sense of humor, it, you know, nine times outta 10 wouldn’t work. I love laughter.
“I love transparency. I love being able to have conversations that, you know, years ago, I may have been like, ‘That’s tough. How do we navigate this?’
“I love being able to evolve with somebody who’s constantly growing and somebody who’s doing their thing. I think that’s really sexy when people are passionate about their thing. If it’s not art, what is it? What’s making you excited about life? I love that… Not possessive. You know, somebody that they know how to date a rock star.”
Janelle then expanded on what she meant by having somebody in her life that knows “how to date a rock star”, revealing that means they need to be patient and want to make you emotionally happy.
She added: “Seeing me happy and me seeing whoever my partner or partners are happy, that’s really important too. Like, knowing that from a human-to-human level, I want what’s best for you. Like, I want you to be happy. How do we constantly, as we evolve as people, how do we make sure that we’re happy? What does that look like? Let’s talk through it.
“And nine times outta 10, I’m going to date somebody who could be my best friend. ‘Cause you have to really like each other. Like, you have to f*** with each other. It’s not about sex. It’s not about that part of it. I have to like you outside of that. I have to really, really, really want to hang out with you.”
Jennifer Coolidge too ‘immature’ to have children
Jennifer Coolidge is too “immature” to have had children.
The 61-year-old actress admitted her friends have encouraged her to adopt but she thinks she’d have made a better stepmother, and she’s theorised as to whether having a family of her own would have made her “grow up”.
She told the summer issue of Britain’s GQ magazine: “I’m very, very immature. I think that has kept me from having children, because I’m sort of a child. Maybe if I had kids, I would’ve had to have grown up.”
Jennifer also admitted she has a habit of dating intense men.
She said: “I’ve never had, like, a laid back boyfriend that was just full of joy, you know? Like, someone who laughs at all your shortcomings. That’s never who I choose for myself.”
The last few years have seen a career resurgence for the ‘American Pie’ star thanks to her role as Tanya McQuoid in both series of ‘The White Lotus’ but she admitted she nearly turned down the award-winning role because of her mental health struggles.
She said: “I was, like, not in the mood. [Was it fear of failure – or possibly success?] I was depressed, I was very depressed.”
But after the first series, Jennifer got involved in coming up with ideas for the show with creator Mike White – and she joked her pitch “got [her] killed”.
She explained: “I had encouraged Mike to tell an Italian story, I said I would love to be in Italy or something, riding around on a Vespa with all these men reaching out and trying to light my cigarette. That’s my fantasy. But then I guess that suggestion got me killed.”
Jennifer will be speaking at the GQ Heroes conference in association with BMW, taking place at Soho Farmhouse, Oxfordshire from 19- 21 of July. Read the full interview at https://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/article/jennifer-coolidge-interview-2023 or buy GQ from 13 June.
Peter Dinklage embraces evil roles
Peter Dinklage loves playing villains.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ star features as antagonist Scourge in the new movie ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ and relishes getting the chance to be evil on the big screen.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Peter said: “It’s a lot of fun. Villains are, in my experience, the most fun you can have at the movies because they don’t care. And it’s the movies, so it’s safe.
“You love them because you’re safe from their actual… the reality of what they’re doing. I’ve played a few villains in my day, and I just find they’re fun because they don’t care.”
Peter completed his voice work as Scourge in a recording studio and was glad to have the guidance of director Steven Caple Jr. as he felt separated from the picture at times.
The 53-year-old star said: “I’ve done a few of them now. Mainly more kids’ films, because that’s popular with the animation; all that stuff. But this is definitely my first time doing something like this.
“And Steven, our incredible director, just guided me through the whole way. Because sometimes when you’re not on the set, when you’re sort of after the fact, because they’ve already filmed the entire movie, you feel a bit removed from the experience.
“And you’re in a booth in Manhattan, not on location with things going off around you.”
Peter explained that he made the most of his “growly” voice to get a menacing tone across on screen.
He said: “What Steven did was just get me fully informed what’s happening in the film with the characters to get you immersed in there as much as possible, and then just have fun with the voice.
“It’s the villain of the piece. You got to sound threatening, scary. And then when he is with Unicron, his boss, there’s a bit of servitude there that you have to just sort of balance in the hierarchy of things.
“If you want low and creepy and growly, I’m your guy.”
Lily-Rose Depp mocked over ‘The Idol’ performance by SNL’s Chloe Fineman
Lily-Rose Depp’s acting in ‘The Idol’ has been mocked by ‘Saturday Night Live’ comic Chloe Fineman.
The 34-year-old is renowned for her savage celebrity impressions and in her latest Instagram post turned her attention on Lily, 24, who plays kinky singer Jocelyn in ‘Euphoria’ creator Sam Levinson’s latest shock HBO drama.
Dressed like Lily’s character in the opening scenes of ‘The Idol’ – which saw the actress go nude – Chloe was seen in a video wearing a black bra backwards and smoking a cigarette while asking: “Does my song suck?”
She then purred while smoking a handful of cigarettes: “Music should sound like a s*** or a w****.”
Referring to singer The Weeknd’s cult leader-style nightclub boss character Tedros on the show who takes Jocelyn under his wing, she added: “Anyway, I met this guy last night, his name is Tedros.
“He was like dressed in a bat cape, but I think he’s gonna like change my career… music should be like poly or bi. Music shouldn’t have a gender, it just f****, you know?”
And referencing the final scene in the opening episode of ‘The Idol’ where Tedros wraps Jocelyn’s face in a red sheet before cutting a hole for her mouth, Chloe put a similar sash over her head and asked: “Does my song f***? Like, music should f***… so hard. I was in a mental institution by the way.”
Chloe, who also sang aligto Cher and Jewel in the clip, captioned it: “My audition for THE IDOL (must have got lost in the mail) @theidol (cigarette emojis)(@lilyrose_depp is a GODDESS of talent.)”
Her mockery failed to get under Lily’s skin, as she commented on the comic’s video, saying online: “I’m loling….. and ur makeup looks bomb. Obsessed with you.”
Some critics have attacked Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily for showing too much flesh in ‘The Idol’, with The Hollywood Reporter saying: “Rarely does a scene go by without the camera showing flashes of her breasts or a**.”
Lily previously defended the show’s explicit scenes and creator Sam, 35, against accusations he has turned his new drama into “torture porn and a rape fantasy”, according to insiders who spoke to Rolling Stone for an exposé featuring anonymous interviews with those working on the series.
She said at the Cannes Film Festival about her rising singer star character: “Jocelyn is a born and bred performer – and I think that extends to every aspect of her life, not just her professional life… I also think that the occasional bareness of the character physically mirrors the bareness that we get to see emotionally in her.
“I was given the privilege of being really involved in the creation of this character and the ins and outs of how she expresses herself.”
Prince Archie received birthday bike
Prince Archie received a bike for his birthday.
The eldest child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex turned 4 on 6 May and he and his parents were delighted when Jennifer Blevins and her partner Martin, who co-own Mad Dogs + Englishmen Bike Shop in Montecito, California, chose a special gift, and hand delivered it to the family’s nearby home, along with some flowers for former ‘Suits’ star Meghan.
Jennifer told People magazine: “He went and he got one of our little specialised kids’ bikes — they’re really nice little bikes — and he’s like, ‘This one’s perfect, it’s got training wheels.’
“And so he went and got some birthday balloons, and he got some flowers for Meghan and a birthday card, and he said, ‘Okay, I’m gonna bike over and take it to their house.'”
Security came out from behind the gate at the property and asked Martin if he’d been invited to the house by Prince Harry and his wife.
Jennifer laughed: “He said, ‘I’m just a British business in town that wanted to give Archie a gift.”
After running an on-site check on Martin, he was allowed to leave the card and gifts, and then this week, the couple received a surprise delivery to the store.
Jennifer said: “A courier came by our little shop on Coast Village Road and he dropped off that letter.
“I was making a joke, I said, ‘It better be a thank you letter,’ and it really was! I wasn’t expecting that. I had no idea.
“It was so thoughtful because, you know, they took the time to write something personal and not just a generic thank you.”
The letter was sent from Harrison Colcord from the couple’s office.
The bike firm shared it on Instagram, and it read: “On behalf of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, please accept their sincere thanks for the thoughtful gift you sent to Prince Archie for his fourth birthday. The bike has brought much joy, and is most appreciated by the family. They asked that I convey their gratitude at the lovely surprise.”
But Jennifer admitted she and Martin were in shock when they received the letter.
She said: “Every celebrity in that town has bought bikes from us, and they all come through there. None of them sent a thank you letter.”
Robert De Niro to mark 80th birthday with fan festival
Robert De Niro will get his own festival in honour of his 80th birthday.
The ‘Raging Bull’ actor reaches the milestone in August, and from 29 September – 1 October, a three-day fan event will take place to celebrate the life and work of the screen legend, his Tribeca festival co-founder and producing partner Jane Rosenthal has confirmed.
Speaking at a ceremony on Wednesday (07.06.23), where De Niro was presented with the key to New York City by Mayor Eric Adams, Jane said: “It’s hard to know what to get Bob for his 80th birthday.
“He’s already got a gold watch, so we decided to celebrate him and his enduring legacy with a fun filled fan event as well as pay tribute to his unwavering dedication to his films, art, and the city he loves.”
De Niro Con will feature appearances by the ‘Meet the Fockers’ star himself, as well as some guest stars, and “recreations of iconic film sets, immersive installations, classic film screenings, musical performances, and panel conversations.”
The private event this week was held at the actor’s Tribeca grill before the Tribeca Festival opening night and was attended by the likes of Martin Scorsese, Matt Damon, Mark Ruffalo, Brendan Fraser, Debra Messing, Noah Centineo, Dianna Agron, Billy Porter and Piper Perabo.
Mayor Adams told the guests De Niro had “opened our hearts for years and for generations.”
He added: “From ‘Mean Streets’ and ‘Taxi Driver’ to ‘Raging Bull,’ and ‘Goodfellas, [De Niro’s] work remains an iconic part of New York City, as much as he is himself… For his decades of contribution to film and philanthropic support of New York City, I am honoured to present Robert De Niro with a Key to the City of New York.”
The ‘Taxi Driver’ star said: “The true key to the city is its people and I am honored to accept that recognition on behalf of my eight and a half million neighbours.”
Director Scorsese hailed his frequent collaborator “very much a visionary” for his work on the city’s film festival.
He added: “Tribeca Festival is an indomitable institution and a beacon, and Tribeca itself is the most vibrant, alive location.
“It’s the place to be and will continue to grow. It’s amazing he did all of this without having the keys until now so there’s more to come!”
Yungblud back with new single ‘Lowlife’: ‘I wrote it because I didn’t want to leave my house!’
Yungblud has returned with new single ‘Lowlife’.
The 25-year-old singer, born Dominic Richard Harrison, has premiered his latest track via Zane Lowe on Apple Music, and revealed how the song was written at a time where he “didn’t want to be anything at all”.
He said in a statement: “I wrote ‘Lowlife’ because I just didn’t want to leave my house.
“I was sick of people, of games, of myself, my friends, anytime I did anything some idiot had an opinion about it. What I should do or be.
“The truth is I didn’t want to be anything at all sometimes, I wanted to be nothing. So I just didn’t leave bed.
“I was dissatisfied and craving some sort of boredom. The type of boredom where you sit in your house, in the same sheets and watch f****** mind numbing TV, so I wrote a song about it.”
Yungblud topped the charts last year with his self-titled third album, and later collaborated with Avril Lavigne on ‘I’m a Mess’ from the deluxe edition of her ‘Love Sux’ record.
For the new track, he didn’t want to be beholden to specific influences during writers, and he went into the studio with producer Paul Meany with no references or preconceived idea of the outcome.
He added: “I’ve not been going into the studio intent on making something like, ‘Close to Me’ or ‘Born this Way’ or ‘Life on Mars’.
“We’d start with a blank canvas each time, bring up a beat and see what the f*** happens.”
Yungblud recently completed a massive run of shows across the UK and Europe – as well as festivals in South America – as part of his ongoing world tour.
He is touring the United States this summer, and will be back in the UK later this week for a performance at the Eden Project.
‘It was not a political statement!’ Jennifer Lawrence explains why she wore flip-flops on red carpet
Jennifer Lawrence was unaware there was a “controversy” surrounding footwear on the red carpet.
The 32-year-old actress turned heads when she wore flip-flops to the premiere of the French thriller’ Anatomie D’une Chute’ (‘Anatomy Of A Fall’) during the 76th Cannes Film Festival in May and has now insisted that she was not making any sort of “political statement” with her fashion choice as she admitted that her shoes were simply “too big” in the first place.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Ok, thank you for bringing this up. I would really like to straighten this out. I was not making a political statement, not that I wouldn’t. I had no idea until it like, came out that there was a whole controversy with people wearing flats, or like, walking down the red carpet barefoot. I had no clue. My shoes were a size too big.”
The ‘Causeway’ star went on to add that she had worn high heels as she made her way up to the red carpet but switched to flip flops for the cameras and reiterated that she was not making a statement with the move, noting that if she was trying to get a message across, it would have been “on purpose.”
She added: “And I wore heels going up, but then I forgot to take a picture with my production team, Excellent Cadaver. So, we had to take an Excellent Cadaver picture, and I knew I would eat s*** if I went down in the shoes that were a size too big. I put on the flip-flops, and then everybody’s like, ‘What a statement! Wow. I’m all for making a statement. I just would want it to be on purpose!”
Garth Brooks wants to bring back Chris Gaines
Garth Brooks wants to revive his rock alter ego Chris Gaines.
The 61-year-old country music legend released an album under the rock persona back in 1999 and as well as relishing the “challenge” it offered him, the ‘Lost in You’ singer knows his alternative direction appealed to a lot of fans.
In an interview at Billboard Country Live in Nashville earlier this week, he said: “The Gaines project was a lot of time put in — because it’s not natural, you’re acting on a record — but I want to do it simply for people who love the Gaines project.
“And selfishly, I love the Chris Gaines record, so I want to do it for me. It challenged me as a vocalist.
“So I don’t know when we’re going to get to it, but it’s on the list.”
The ‘Garth Brooks…in the Life of Chris Gaines’ album was perceived as a greatest hits project of songs from Chris’ non-existent five previous albums and was originally meant to be released alongside a film about the Australian rock star’s back story, but the movie was never made.
And Garth admitted he’d like to record the original records as Chris.
He said: “The five albums have to come out.
“I don’t know if it’s because I’m 114 years old, but now everything takes three hours more than it took time to do before.”
Elsewhere during the session, the ‘Friends in Low Places’ singer revealed he is working on a duets album with wife Tricia Yearwood, as well as another record that will feature performances with a range of other artists – who he declined to name – which will be released later this year and will feature both old and new songs.

Lisa Vanderpump set to launch new Hulu series
Lisa Vanderpump’s new reality series will be filmed in her French villa.
The 62-year-old businesswoman has starred on multiple reality shows during the course of her career, including ‘Vanderpump Rules’ and ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ – and Lisa is now planning to shoot her new Hulu series at her luxurious French villa.
The ten-episode series of ‘Vanderpump Villa’ has already been ordered by Hulu, according to Deadline. The show will follow the story of Lisa’s hand-picked staff as they work at the villa.
The upcoming series doesn’t have a launch date, but Lisa has already been made an executive producer of the unscripted show.
Lisa has enjoyed significant success as a restaurant, bar and club owner, and the reality star previously claimed that she’s only motivated by passion projects.
Lisa also discussed her ambitious plans in Las Vegas.
She told Forbes: “I’ve got to a stage in my life where everything has to be a passion project.
“I’ve done so many different things that now I find that I am motivated by something that excites me. I love design. My design partner [Nick Alain] is here now. We have two new big projects coming up.
“We’re designing two new restaurants that have a deadline and nothing is as motivating as a deadline. I’ve just opened Paris Casino in Las Vegas, which we presented to them and they fell in love with our visuals. Everything is bespoke and couture and designed by Vanderpump Alain.”
What’s more, Lisa claimed that ‘Vanderpump Rules’ has benefited her business empire.
She said: “Many people said ‘No, don’t do it.’ It was just the unknown and that was 500 episodes ago and 12 years later. So, that opened so many doors for things I dreamt of.”
DeVon Franklin ‘still has love for Meagan Good’
DeVon Franklin’s love for Meagan Good “has not gone away”.
The 45-year-old film producer and Meagan, 41, finalized their divorce last year, but DeVon insists that he remains very fond of his ex-wife and confirmed that they’re still in contact with each other.
He told ‘The Breakfast Club’: “The love for us has not gone away. It’s just changed form.”
DeVon revealed that he’s been through a rollercoaster of emotions since splitting from the actress.
However, the producer is now feeling “much better” than he did in the aftermath of their split.
He said: “Mentally, I’m doing much better. But the process to that, like, I can sit here before all of you and have this interview and be calm and introspective and all that. But that comes from a process, you know?”
DeVon also confessed that he needed time to “heal”.
He said: “I mean, there are nights [where] I’m crying myself to sleep.
“There are moments when I’ve been angry, but I’ve allowed myself to feel whatever I felt in order to heal because in my experience when I’m not facing what I’m feeling, then I’m trying to find something else to help me get through the pain.”
Meanwhile, Meagan previously revealed that she’s tried to retain a positive outlook since her split from DeVon
The actress is determined to remain optimistic about her future, despite their high-profile split.
Discussing her approach to life, Meagan – who was married to the producer between 2012 and 2022 – told E! News: “Perception is everything, get excited for what’s next. If God has allowed it and it’s out of your control, well then, what’s coming next is even better and even greater, so be excited about that, be open-minded.”
Man ‘gunned down’ outside Adam DeVine’s house
Adam DeVine saw a man get “gunned down” outside his house this week.
The ‘Pitch Perfect’ actor and his wife Chloe Bridges were on the balcony of their Hollywood Hills home watching people arrive for a “crazy poker game”, but things took a dark turn when one of the players was shot dead.
Appearing live on the ‘This Is Important’ podcast on Wednesday (07.06.23) evening, he said: “This is a true scary thing that just happened. So, across the street from my house they are running this, like, crazy poker game, right?
“Where People were rolling up in like Lamborghinis and Bentleys and Rolls-Royces and s*** and like old guys, who for sure f*** prostitutes and play cards.
“And I see these dudes and it’s like fun to sit and watch, [so] me and my wife, we’re sitting up on our balcony, and like, this looks crazy…
“This is where it gets sad. Someone was murdered there.
“Someone was murdered. Yeah, dude, I called that s***, I called that s***. I was like ‘This is dastardly s*** going down here’ and sure enough, someone is gunned down.”
Hosts Blake Anderson, Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck appeared taken aback by the revelation.
Anders said: “Yeah, a real person, no longer with us.”
Adam, 39, replied: “Yeah but, that happens, people be dying. This isn’t Hollywood, this is a story about my actual life.”
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Thursday that a fatal shooting occurred just after 2 a.m. on Wednesday (07.06.23), with the victim later identified as 39-year-old Emil Lahaiel.
Police said the victim was standing outside the house talking to a suspect when he was shot.
LAPD public information officer Drake Madison told People magazine: “The suspect produced a handgun and fired multiple shots and those shots struck the victim. The suspect fled the scene east in a vehicle.”
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and no arrests have been made.
Jeff Goldblum remains a ‘humble student’
Jeff Goldblum “falls way short in many things”.
The 70-year-old star has enjoyed success as an actor and as a musician during the course of his career – but Jeff still considers himself to be a “humble student”.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “I’m not good at everything. I’m a humble student. I fall way short in many things, but I try not to be irritated.
“I try to take it as a humbling lesson and an opportunity to grow.
“I can think of a million things. I’m not a bad packer – although I leave it till the last minute – but I’m a horrible folder. I’m not a very good cook. I’m not particularly handy around the house. I have a bad sense of direction. I’m not good with technology.”
Jeff credits his success to his work ethic and his can-do attitude.
The Hollywood star said: “I lack innate ability about a lot of things, but when I’m motivated, I’m always happy to learn.”
Meanwhile, Jeff previously revealed that he loves the challenge of fatherhood.
The actor – who has sons Charlie, seven, and River, six, with his wife Emilie Livingston – admitted that he’s found fatherhood to be a “fun” experience.
Jeff – who married Emilie in 2014 – told the ‘Today’ show: “It’s amazing, it’s revivifying, and makes my relationship with Emilie, frankly, enhanced. Seeing [my wife] in this new role is unbelievable. She’s heroic beyond imagination.”
The movie star acknowledged that fatherhood can be challenging. However, he’s still relished the experience of raising his sons.
He shared: “It’s challenging and it’s sometimes maddening and very volatile. As you know, at three and five, five and seven, they can be like feral creatures unleashed. Oh yeah, and sweet and amazing. It’s great.”
Lindsay Lohan taking parenting advice from Jamie Lee curtis
Lindsay Lohan has been asking Jamie Lee Curtis for parenting advice.
The 36-year-old actress is expecting her first child with husband Bader Shammas and she asked her ‘Freaky Friday’ co-star – who has Annie, 36, and Ruby, 26, with husband Christopher Guest – for tips on finding a good work/life balance.
She told Allure magazine: “I spoke to Jamie Lee Curtis recently, and she was like, ‘You just bring the baby with you and everything will be fine.'”
The ‘Mean Girls’ star “can’t wait” to see what parenthood is like but admitted she’s been overwhelmed with emotion lately.
She said: “I can’t wait to see what the feeling is and what it’s like to just be a mom.
“[I’ve been crying] happy tears. That’s just who I am. Though now, it’s probably baby emotion.
“It’s overwhelming, in a good way.”
Lindsay has retreated out of the spotlight, spending the last eight years living in Dubai, and she enjoys the familiarity of her quiet life in the UAE.
She said: “Sometimes, I call it The Truman Show, because it’s the same thing every day.
“But I love it. I really love structure because I don’t think I had that when I was young. Everything was coming so fast and I had so many things happening. My only structure was filming and being on set.”
And she finds it “startling” not having to be on her guard for waiting paparazzi, as they are banned in Dubai.
She said: “In New York, I’m walking on the street and I hear the sound of a click, and I think, Was that paparazzi? To never have to worry about that in a place where I live is a startling feeling, in a way.”
The ‘Falling For Christmas’ actress shared the “unexciting” moment she broke the news to her husband that she was pregnant.
She laughed: “It was so unexciting. I walked into the room, I threw the test down. I was like, ‘Guess what?’ He goes, ‘We are?'”
‘Paralysed and blind’ allegation ‘completely inaccurate’, Jamie Foxx’s spokesperson addresses COVID-19 vaccine theory
Jamie Foxx’s representative is adamant that claims the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ star suffered a serious reaction to the COVID-19 vaccine are “completely inaccurate”.
The 55-year-old actor was hospitalised in April due to an unspecified “medical complication”, but recently a theory alleging Foxx had been left “partially paralysed and blind” after developing a blood clot, which led to a stroke, after he was vaccinated, has been circulating online.
However, a representative for the ‘Ray’ star told Newsweek that the speculation is untrue.
The claim was first made by A.J. Benza on the ‘Ask Dr. Drew’ podcast, with the podcaster citing a “source in the room” and alleging Jamie was forced to get the vaccine while working on a movie, but quickly began suffering from complications.
In a claim unchallenged by host Dr. Drew Pinsky, A.J. said: “Jamie had a blood clot in his brain after he got the shot. He did not want the shot, but the movie he was on, he was pressured to get it. The blood clot in the brain caused him at that point to be partially paralysed and blind.”
Candace Owens then shared the theory on her You Tube-based podcast and insinuated Benza’s claims must have been true because Jamie’s family didn’t outright condemn his comments.
She said in a video shared on Tuesday (06.06.23): “Their silence seems as though there is some veracity to this claim. We’re all holding our breath to see whether or not Jamie Foxx speaks out.”
Jamie’s friend Nick Cannon recently insisted the Oscar-winning star will update fans on his health “when he’s ready”.
He told ‘Extra’: “One thing I’ve always respected about how Jamie’s moved throughout his entire career, if you’ve noticed, he’s always been somebody who is extremely professional and extremely private.
“I mean, you don’t ever really hear anything other than just the great work that he puts forth as a professional and the fact that, you know, he’s handled this situation with the same manner, you only can respect that.
“I believe when he’s ready, he’s going to address the awaiting fans in the world (about his health) the way that only he can.
When asked if Jamie had suffered a stroke, ‘The Masked Singer’ host Nick declined to give details on Jamie’s condition.
He added: “I’m probably in the same boat as you in that same sense of just knowing that, you know, as a friend, just being as respectful as I can, I don’t pry.
“I don’t ask any other questions. And other than the information that’s given to me and, you know, what’s asked of me.”
Nick also said whatever Jamie’s family has said so far is the only “information that they want to be out there”.
