FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo fire crews responded to a natural gas explosion at a food processing plant south of the industrial park Wednesday morning.
Battalion Chief Joe Mangin says one person received non life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. Another person was treated on-scene.
Mangin says the plant, in the 300 block of 40th Street North and operated by Red River Commodities, was evacuated prior to the arrival of firefighters and the gas had been shut off.
The explosion was in a heater, but the cause has not been determined. The call came in at about 9:30. Police and Sanford Ambulance also responded.
