The Jacksonville Jaguars have acquired wide receiver Jakobi Meyers in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders prior to Tuesday’s deadline.
In return, the Jaguars are sending a 2026 fourth and sixth-round draft pick to Las Vegas.

Let’s highlight our initial takeaways of this move and what the trade means for the Jaguars’ offense moving forward.
– The addition of Meyers provides the Jaguars with needed wide receiver depth. Travis Hunter is on IR, Tim Patrick (groin) missed this past Sunday’s game, while Dyami Brown exited with a concussion.
– Meyers is an experienced player, which should allow him to acclimate to the Jaguars’ offense relatively quickly. Since entering the NFL in 2019, Meyers has appeared in 98 games and made 76 starts.

– Meyers’ most productive season was just last year. In 2024, he eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his NFL career. He’s surpassed 800 yards three other times.
– The 2025 season is the final year of Meyers’ current deal. He is set to be a free agent in 2026.
– Of Meyers’ 48 targets this season, 28 have come within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage, 15 have been in the 10-19 yard range, and five have been 20-plus yards downfield.
