The city of Omaha and Front Porch Investments announced a second round of ARPA money, grants and loans. According to Front Porch Investments, 41 programs and projects applied for the money. In total, 16 organizations received $10.1 million in loans and $1.4 million in grants. All the money goes to support affordable housing development and preservation projects, as well as affordable housing supportive groups. Front Porch Investments hopes to have more funds for groups to apply for later this summer.“We received many strong applications, making this the most competitive round to date. We continue to hear from developers and nonprofits willing to address the need for affordable housing, as resources become available.
