June 12(Reuters) – Canada’s main stock index opened lower on Monday as energy and material stocks dropped tracking weakness in commodity prices, while investors awaited U.S. Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision due later in the week.
At 9:30 a.m. ET (13:30 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was down 61.76 points, or 0.31%, at 19,830.3.
