ASX mining stocks rip after silver cracks 14-year high

Silver producers rocketed on the ASX on Friday after the price of the precious metal cracked a 14-year high, outpacing the growth of gold amid a wave of safe-haven buying.

The price of silver, which has a wide range of industrial uses, has been on a rampage this year, soaring 55 per cent and eclipsing the 43 per cent surge in gold, which continues to reset its record high amid a weaker US dollar, central-bank buying, tariff uncertainties and rising geopolitical risks.
