Apple is Dow’s top-performing stock Friday

Shares of Apple Inc. were rising sharply Friday afternoon, helping to keep the Dow Jones Industrial Average in the green.

Apple was up a sharp 1.5%, the top-performing stock in the Dow in afternoon trading, according to FactSet data, at last check. The Dow, an index of blue-chip stocks, was up a slight 0.1% to trade in record territory.
