Stocks Falling on Triple Witching Day. S&P 500, Nasdaq at Risk of 5-Week Slump.

Stocks opened lower on Friday as the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were at risk of falling for a fifth week in a row.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 322 points, or 0.8%. The S&P 500 was down 0.8%. The Nasdaq Composite was down 1%. The yield on the 2-year Treasury note was down to 3.93%. The 10-year yield was down to 4.21%.

The latest round of earnings reports from the likes of FedEx and Nike Thursday night continued to show signs of tariff uncertainty, but there wasn’t much on the calendar for Friday.
