After briefly dipping in early afternoon trading, the S&P 500 was up 0.3%. Roughly 400 stocks in the index were on the rise. The Dow was up 408 points, or 0.9%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.2%.
The Magnificent Seven stocks were more mixed. Nvidia was the biggest laggard, with a decline of 3.6%, followed by Tesla, with a 0.8% dip. Meta Platforms and Microsoft were both down less than 0.1%. Apple was up 0.2%, while Alphabet and Amazon.com were up about 1.7%. The Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF, which offers exposure to all seven, was down 0.3%.
