Tom Brady says he is using this year to figure out some things as he is looking forward to his upcoming roles. In 2022 May, Brady signed a 10-year deal to join Fox Sports after his retirement from the NFL. On February 1st, 45-year-old Brady announced he was retiring after 23 seasons in the league.
A few days later, it was revealed that Brady would not be joining the broadcasting booth in 2023 but in the fall of 2024. Also, it was recently announced that Brady decided to join the Las Vegas Raiders as a minority owner.
Brady on his retirement plans
“It’s a big year of kind of recalibrating some different things. I’m just trying to set my priorities and allow my time and energy to be focused on those. In the short term, it’s being there for my children and being the best dad I can be and being as present as I can with them.
And some of these other things are probably more longer term: working with Hertz, I love doing that. I invest the time and energy in my apparel brand, my health and wellness brand obviously is so important to me. I have a small media business that I’ve been really working hard at and then obviously working with Fox and then going through this process of ownership with the Raiders.
All of them bring me joy in different ways,” Brady told The Associated Press. Meanwhile, Brady hasn’t yet officially become the minority owner of the Raiders. Brady, a former seven-time Super Bowl champion, still needs 30 team owners to accept his ownership.
In 2024, Brady is expected to join Fox Sports and debut in the broadcasting booth. In March, the rumors surfaced about Brady potentially returning to the NFL again. But Brady seems to be at peace with his decision and planning his next retirement moves.
