OU fans react to release of SEC opponents Sooners will face in 2024

THE FANS AND THE ATMOSPHERE, I FEEL LIKE IT’S JUST GOING TO BE A BIG CHANGE AND IT’S GOING TO HELP OUT A LOT. O. U FANS FILLED WITH LOTS OF ENERGY TONIGHT AS THE FIRST SEC SCHEDULE FOR THE SOONERS WAS UNVEILED. IT’S ALL ABOUT THE CULTURE. JAKE HAS STOOD ON THE SIDELINES FOR THREE YEARS, PADDLE IN HAND AND HE LIKES WHAT HE SAW WHEN THE FOOTBALL TEAM SCHEDULE WAS ROLLED OUT. I’D LIKE TO SEE ALABAMA. I THINK THAT’D BE A GOOD ONE. SOUTH CAROLINA WOULD BE KIND OF COOL. SPENCER RATTLER, YOU KNOW. SO HERE’S HOW 2024 WILL SHAKE OUT. OU WILL PLAY ALABAMA, SOUTH CAROLINA AND TENNESSEE AND NORMAN AND THEY’LL TRAVEL TO DALLAS FOR THE RED RIVER SHOOTOUT AGAINST TEXAS FOR THE AWAY GAMES. THEY’LL HIT THE ROAD TO TAKE ON AUBURN, LSU, MISSOURI AND OLE MISS. THERE MIGHT BE A FEW OPPONENTS, BUT NOTHING THAT WE CAN’T TAKE OVER. JAKE SAYS IT’LL BE AN EXCITING TIME FOR THE STUDENTS THAT COME TO OU AFTER HIS TIME. THEY’LL GET TO SEE THE UNIVERSITY EXIT, THE BIG 12 POSSIBLE STADIUM EXPANSION AND THEN MOVE INTO THE SEC. YOU KNOW, IT’S JUST GOING TO BE EVEN MORE SURREAL FOR THE NEW PEOPLE. COACH VENABLES MADE AN APPEARANCE COMMENTING ON THE INTENSITY IN SEC FOOTBALL, AND HE HAS PERSPECTIVE FROM HIS TIME COACHING AT CLEMSON WHEN HIS TEAMS WOULD PLAY SOUTH CAROLINA. DO YOU DRIVE UP TO THE, YOU KNOW, THE UPSTATE AND CLEMSON OR YOU GO DOWN TO THE LOWER STATE AND COLUMBIA, YOU KNOW, THERE’S 80,000 PEOPLE STRONG AT BOTH PLACES, BUT HE’S CONFIDENT OU CAN COMPETE IN THE NEW CONFERENCE FROM A PASSION AND ENTHUSIASM. THIS IS WHAT EXCELLENCE LOOKS LIKE AND WE STILL DON’T KNOW ANY OFFICIAL DATES FOR THOSE FIRST FEW SEC GAMES OR WHEN THE FIRST HOME GAME WILL TAKE PLACE HERE IN 2024.
