Minnesota Timberwolves: 4 potential trade packages involving the No. 1 pick

Adding Victor Oladipo and Myles Turner

If the Minnesota Timberwolves wanted to take a big risk with the No. 1 overall pick, they could try to acquire the duo of Victor Oladipo and Myles Turner, two players that many believe could find their way to the trade block during the offseason. This is a risk because Oladipo, the key portion of this deal, is an expiring contract and there’s a chance he could leave after the 2021 season.

To make this deal work and to get Indiana interested, the Wolves would almost have to add another asset to their No. 1 overall pick. That will likely have to be Jarrett Culver or another future pick. However, a core four of Oladipo, Russell, Towns, and Turner could help create one of the most interested teams in the West.

I’m not sure if this team would be good enough to make the playoffs in the Western Conference (a lot of that would depend on how Oladipo looks and how Towns and Turner would fit next to each other in the frontcourt), but they’d certainly make some waves and headlines.

The Pacers would be able to hit a minor reset button, add a future franchise player with the No. 1 overall pick and continue to build around Domantas Sabonis.
