RBC Capital Markets strategists predicted the S&P 500 index would rise by more than 10% for a fourth straight year, the latest to issue a bullish forecast on Wall Street.
The team led by Lori Calvasina sees the US benchmark at 7,750 points a year from now, implying a rally of 13% from Friday’s close. Expectations for improving earnings and a modest boost from Federal Reserve easing can counter the impact of “uncomfortable inflation” in the year ahead, the strategists said in a note.
