American Express, Salesforce share gains contribute to Dow's 275-point jump

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Friday morning with shares of American Express and Salesforce delivering the strongest returns for the index. Shares of American Express and Salesforce have contributed to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow was most recently trading 278 points (0.8%) higher. American Express’s shares are up $3.33, or 2.2%, while those of Salesforce have gained $4.12 (2.0%), combining for an approximately 49-point boost for the Dow. Boeing UnitedHealth and Caterpillar are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.59-point swing.
