Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.06% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 11:11AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Gland Pharma(up 1.97 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.56 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences(up 1.48 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(up 1.11 per cent) and Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals(up 1.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 1.69 per cent), Granules India(down 1.35 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.12 per cent), Biocon(down 0.73 per cent) and Laurus(down 0.7 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.06 per cent at 12185.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 1.05 points at 17765.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 36.44 points at 60470.46.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Shares of , Adani Power, Tata Steel, YES Bank and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of

, , , RBM Infracon Ltd. and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Ltd., ., , Vikas Proppant & Gr and Rushil Decor hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
