Shares of Home Depot and 3M are trading lower Thursday afternoon, dragging the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. The Dow was most recently trading 83 points (0.2%) lower, as shares of Home Depot and 3M have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Home Depot’s shares have declined $9.30 (2.9%) while those of 3M have declined $3.28, or 2.7%, combining for an approximately 83-point drag on the Dow. American Express Caterpillar and Honeywell are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.59-point swing.
