Sunflower Senior Center is honored to offer CSFP commodity program to Stafford County. What is CSFP?

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of low-income elderly persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods. CSFP food packages do not provide a complete diet, but rather a good sources of the nutrients typically lacking in the diets of the beneficiary population. An agreement between United Methodist Open Door, Inc. and Sunflower Senior Center in St. John, Ks (Stafford County) has been entered into to enroll clients and distribute commodity program foods.

The procedure for each person enrolling includes a completed application, proof of birth date (driver’s license), proof of gross income (Social Security current benefit statement) and proof of residence (something that has been mailed to your address). This program covers all eligible in Stafford County. Transportation to pick up the commodities is the responsibility of the client.
