Chinas annual crude oil imports fell 5.4% in 2021, marking the first drop since 2001. The country imported 512.98 million tonnes of crude oil in 2021 compared to 542.39 million tonnes in the 2020s, in data from the General Administration of Chinese Customs showed on Friday. However, December crude imports hit 46.14 million tonnes, up nearly 20% in the first monthly year-on-year growth since April 2021.
